Hello, dear reader! Here at my blog you will find glimpses of joy, Stockholm, my numerous museum visits, funny and serious stuff worth noticing - all in journalese and sometimes in Swedish. With this also comes a pinch of analyses and reflections. This is a dynamic blog, meaning I sometimes go back in the archive and update the posts. If you are following my blog from a phone, click on "View web version" at the bottom of the page - it facilitates the reading. Enjoy! /Jana :)

Sky spotting metallic birds at Arlanda
The enthusiasts know exactly where to go. Best harvest, depending on your taste, is between 10.30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Biggest planes - Norwegian from Oakland as well as Qatar and Eritrean airlines - land about 12 p.m. - 3 p.m., delaying included. Either you hang out on the 12th floor at Clarion hotel (and quickly realise planes land all om the same spot every third minute, on average) or you sit on this particular hill, with a lake nearby, the end stop of bus 583 to Arlanda.
Most common airplanes are marked SAS and Norwegian. Quite soon, you will be able to tell a Boeing and an Airbus apart. Doubledeckers haven't been in Stockholm for years - few airports in Europe can take them. This means that the big planes with about 600 passengers are quite a sight and attract entire families. Others take notes of flight numbers, some photograph, everyone seems to have apps to keep track of arrival and departure times and binoculars.
I am not sure I will continue with this hobby, but it is quite an experience!
