Hello, dear reader! Here at my blog you will find glimpses of joy, Stockholm, my numerous museum visits, funny and serious stuff worth noticing - all in journalese and sometimes in Swedish. With this also comes a pinch of analyses and reflections. This is a dynamic blog, meaning I sometimes go back in the archive and update the posts. If you are following my blog from a phone, click on "View web version" at the bottom of the page - it facilitates the reading. Enjoy! /Jana :)

The Yakutsk joke and Swedish snow
Film I could be doing charades about: "Frozen". Here I am inside a waiting room next to a factory - it's like -16 outsides and the piles of snow have delayed all trains (I had to change trains three times - all at one station because the destinations kept altering) and buses are either cancelled or probably will be: at work, I was encouraged to leave early as a precaution, or I wouldn't be able to get home at all.
So, the Yakutsk joke: two people talking over the phone.
- Hey, how cold is it at your place?
- Not that cold, only -25, why?
- Because on the news they said it is -50...
- Oooh, they must have meant outdoors!
