Then I met a lady.
She flickered through a newspaper quickly, and I asked her out of curiosity if there was something interesting in it. So she told me, with almost tears in her eyes:
"I don't read the newspaper anymore. Once, there was a story about a woman's baby carriage that slipped off the station platform just in front of the train. It hit the baby so hard that it flied in the air. I couldn't sleep for a week after that story. Since then, I don't read the newspaper anymore. But this, it was a story about a girl, her mother and her brother who have been hiding in Sweden for I think four years now and will apply for permanent residence again. I have been through that myself, for I don't know how many years, so that's nothing."
